Concrete Lift and Stabilization Fort Worth Texas

Nortex Concrete Lift & Stabilization Serving Fort Worth, Texas

Welcome to Nortex Concrete Lift & Specialization – we’re pleased you dropped by!  As a licensed Fort Worth-based road-construction company, we specialize in lifting and stabilizing concrete panels that have become compromised and pose safety risks.  By injecting high-density polyurethane foam beneath the pavement, slabs can be lifted back to their proper grade and elevation.  This type of remedy addresses a vast array of venues ranging from uneven airport runways to sidewalk trip-hazards to bridges.  One huge benefit of polyurethane-foam injections is the monetary savings – often, half the cost of new concrete!

Nortex, also, offers its expertise in concrete grinding.  We have perfected a process called ‘PolyGrinding’.  This procedure is dual-purposed:  it provides a solution for any issues below a concrete slab and solves problems of faulted pavement on top of the slab.  The combined benefits of polyurethane-foam injection and concrete joint grinding result in the repair and strengthening of the soils and the grinding down of any offset joints above the soil’s surface.

Transportation departments recognize foam injection and concrete grinding to be quicker, more cost-effective alternatives to full-depth repair and dowel bar retrofit.  Also, road-deflection tests have proven that these solutions greatly enhance the ride-quality index.

Our Services

Our polyurethane-foam injection process is an impressively-effective solution for a vast array of construction requirements.  The foam is hydrophobic – completely unaffected by wet soil conditions –  allowing for the evacuation of unwanted water beneath the pavement.  Another huge benefit of polyurethane foam is its quick cure-time – within minutes.  This means traffic and other activities can continue in very little time.

Foam injections and concrete grinding are utilized in venues that include:

***  Airport Runways  – cracking and severe pavement settlement due to poor base and sub-grade soils – efficient repairs allow for quickly-resumed flight operations.

***  Bridges – slab settlement at approach and departure areas caused by unstable foundation soils, water penetration, and constant impact and pressure – soils are stabilized and strengthened, eliminating future settlement and erosion.

***  Pavements – faulted pavements due to poorly-compacted foundation soils, water penetration, and heavy tractor-trailer loads – polyurethane-foam injections and ‘PolyGrinding’ are, commonly, used here.

***  Industrial/Commercial – settlement due to voids beneath concrete foundations – concrete is quickly repositioned to the original elevation – Nortex’s foundation-lifting process can extend the life of slabs that are still in good shape.

***  Infrastructure – leaks, voids, and deterioration of large pipes, culverts, manholes, drop inlets, and more due to water infiltration, settling, poor compaction of foundation soils, etc. – costly repairs, such as excavation, can be bypassed.

***  Ponding Water – pooling of water, where the pavement has settled, due to water erosion of sub-grade soils – polyurethane-foam injection lifts the concrete to its proper grade, allowing for proper water flow.

***  Sidewalk Division – trip hazards due to the settling of sidewalks – the lightweight property of sidewalks, when compared to other concrete structures, means extra care must be taken during the lifting and leveling.  Our three crews specialize in this delicate operation where preventing over-lifting is critical.  Sidewalks can be lifted back to their original position in as little as 30 minutes.

***  Soil Densification – pavement-surface failures caused by weak or insufficient support in the foundation soil – patching or replacing the surface pavement and the replacement of foundation soils can be ineffective, temporary, and costly.  Nortex’s polyurethane-foam injections strengthen the sub-grade soils to extend the life of the surface pavement.
