Concrete Jacking Arlington Texas

Concrete Jacking Serving Arlington, Texas

Nortex Lift & Stabilization – Texas’ premier resource for concrete repair needs.  We are a licensed road-construction company home-based in Fort Worth.  One of our specialties is the lifting and stabilizing of concrete panels – also known as concrete jacking.  The key to our successful concrete jacking procedure, however, lies with the use of high-density polyurethane foam injections.

Erosion, unstable soils, poor soil compaction, etc. can lead to faulty, compromised concrete slabs on airport runways, sidewalks, patios, driveways, roadways, factory floors, and more.  Nortex offers more than 35 years of combined experience to rectify these types of problems that can lead to accidents, injuries, and potential liabilities.

Polyurethane Foam

Concrete slabs will settle when the underlying soil can no longer support the concrete’s weight.  The result is sunken, uneven concrete sections that become unsightly and dangerous.  As mentioned, Nortex’s concrete jacking utilizes injections of high-density polyurethane foam.  This tech-advanced repair option is highly-efficient and cost-effective – usually, half the cost of new concrete!  In other words, don’t replace it, raise it!  Polyurethane foam addresses a vast array of concrete applications, and hardens within minutes, minimizing any disruption.

The concrete jacking procedure forces the foam to move beneath the pavement.  This results in a literal lift of the concrete slabs which can, then, reclaim their original grades and elevations.  As the foam seeps into the sub-base of the concrete, it binds soil particles and strengthens the base material without ever losing its density.  The hydrophobic qualities of polyurethane foam allow it to repel water and be unaffected by any type of moisture.

Nortex’s Concrete Grinding

Nortex, also, specializes in concrete grinding.  Our company’s signature procedure – ‘PolyGrinding’ – remedies issues below concrete slabs and remedies issues of faulted pavement on top of slabs.  Transportation departments across the country fully support the use of concrete jacking with foam as well as concrete grinding since they are proven to be more efficient and more cost-effective than full-depth repair and dowel bar retrofit.

Nortex Offers an Expansive Repertoire

Nortex’s decades of expertise allows us to fully meet the demands of our broad customer base.  From across the great state of Texas and across the US, our 100+ clients located in 50 cities and 20 states trust the Nortex name.  We have repaired 500+ lane miles and we have completed more than 35,000 residential, commercial, industrial, and government projects.  We utilize a fleet of 12 fully-operational, self-contained box trucks which get the jobs done!  Nortex is, also, certified to set-up and maintain traffic flow, when required.

Nortex’s concrete jacking with foam injections and its concrete grinding are used in a multitude of concrete-repair applications involving:

***  Airport Runways  – cracking and severe pavement settlement due to poor base and sub-grade soils – fast repairs allow for quickly-resumed flight operations.

***  Bridges – slab settlement at approach and departure areas caused by unstable foundation soils, water penetration, and constant impact and pressure – soils are stabilized and strengthened, eliminating future settlement and erosion.

***  Pavements – faulted pavements due to poorly-compacted foundation soils, water penetration, and heavy tractor-trailer loads – polyurethane-foam injections and ‘PolyGrinding’ are, commonly, used here.

***  Industrial/Commercial – settlement due to voids beneath concrete foundations – concrete foundations are quickly repositioned to their original elevations with the polyurethane foam becoming as dense as 10 lb/ft3 – Nortex’s foundation-lifting process can extend the life of slabs that are still in good shape.

***  Infrastructure – leaks, voids, and deterioration of large pipes, culverts, manholes, drop inlets, and more due to water infiltration, settling, poor compaction of foundation soils, etc.  Costly repairs, such as excavation, can be bypassed.

***  Ponding Water – pooling of water, where the pavement has settled, caused by erosion of sub-grade soils – foam injection lifts the concrete to its proper grade, allowing for proper water flow.

***  Sidewalk Division – settling of sidewalks resulting in trip hazards – the lightweight property of sidewalks, when compared to other concrete structures, means extra care must be taken during the lifting and leveling.  Our three crews specialize in this delicate operation where preventing over-lifting is critical.  Sidewalks can be lifted back to their original position in as little as 30 minutes.

***  Soil Densification – pavement-surface failures caused by weak or insufficient support in the foundation soil – patching or replacing the surface pavement and the replacement of foundation soils can be ineffective, temporary, and costly.  Polyurethane foam strengthens the sub-grade soils to extend the life of the surface pavement.
